Description
Čáslav Air Base is located in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, near the village of Chotusice. The facility was constructed between 1952 and 1958. Since December 1, 2003, the base has served as the headquarters of the 21st Tactical Air Force Base "Zvolenská" within the Czech Air Force.
The Czech Armed Forces operate the installation. The base hosts the 211th Tactical Squadron, which operates JAS-39 Gripen fighter jets, and the 212th Tactical Squadron, equipped with L-159A ALCA fighter jets. The 213th Training Squadron is also stationed at the facility, utilizing L-159T1 and L-39ZA aircraft.
