Description
Chernigovka is a Russian Aerospace Forces airbase located near Chernigovka, Primorsky Krai, Russia. The air base is owned by the Ministry of Defence and operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces, under the control of the 11th Air and Air Defence Forces Army. It is currently active. The base is home to the 18th Guards Red Banner Assault Aviation Regiment, which operates Sukhoi Su-25SM aircraft under the 303rd Composite Aviation Division. Additionally, the 319th Independent Helicopter Regiment, flying Kamov Ka-52 and Mil Mi-8AMTSh helicopters, is stationed there. The 18th Guards Red Banner Assault Aviation Regiment deployed Sukhoi Su-25s to Luninets Air Base in Belarus as part of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
