Description
Postavy is a former medium-sized air base in Belarus located five kilometers west of Pastavy. The facility hosted units of the 1st Guards Bomber Aviation Division. Between 1960 and 1988, the 940th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment was stationed at the base. In 1976, the 305th Bomber Aviation Regiment (305 BAP) was activated at the installation. This regiment operated Su-24 aircraft until 1993, when the unit was withdrawn to Krasnodar and disbanded. Infrastructure at the site consists of a central tarmac area and three loop areas, each configured with 15 revetments.
