Hungarian Air Force H145 Crash

A Hungarian Air Force H145M crashed in the Cikola Canyon near Drnis, Croatia, during a training mission flown away from its home base. Croatian and Hungarian authorities mounted a search in difficult terrain and recovered the bodies of all three crew members, the third being found after an extended search. The helicopter was one of two Hungarian aircraft flying in the area; the other landed safely, and the fleet was grounded. Hungary acquired twenty H145Ms from 2019 under its Zrinyi modernisation programme, and the type equips the Szolnok helicopter wing for light transport, training and armed reconnaissance.
