Portuguese Air Force C-390 Delivered

The Portuguese Air Force received its first KC-390 Millennium, which landed at Air Base 11 at Beja after a ferry flight from Embraer's plant at Gaviao Peixoto in Brazil with stops at Recife and Cape Verde. It was the first KC-390 to enter service outside Brazil, the first delivered to a European operator and the first built to a NATO standard including Link 16. Portugal ordered five of the twin-jet transports in 2019 together with support and a simulator; they equip 506 Squadron and replace part of the ageing C-130H fleet.
