German Army H145 Ordered

Germany signed a firm order allocating 57 H145M helicopters to the German Army, the largest contract yet placed for the type. The wider Bundeswehr agreement covered 62 firm aircraft with options for a further twenty, the remaining five going to the Air Force for special operations support. The Army machines are to be fitted with a weapons kit for armed reconnaissance, escort and light attack, and are assembled at Airbus Helicopters' plant at Donauworth in Bavaria. The order consolidated a single light helicopter type across two German services on a common configuration.
