Albanian Air Force Bayraktar TB2 Delivered

Albania's defence minister announced on 1 March 2024 that the country's Bayraktar TB2 drones had arrived and been placed at Kuçova air base, which was due to open on 4 March as a NATO tactical base. Euronews Albania reported the announcement with photographs of the aircraft in the base. The government had said in 2022 that an initial three armed drones would be delivered under an agreement with Baykar that also covered maintenance and the training of more than 30 personnel to run the control centre at Kuçova. The delivery made Albania the first TB2 operator in the Western Balkans.
