Bangladesh Air Force Yak-130 Crash

A Bangladesh Air Force Yak-130 advanced trainer crashed in the Patenga area of Chattogram at about 11:00 during a training sortie. The service initially attributed the accident to a mechanical fault and formed a high-level inquiry. The Bangladesh Air Force said both pilots ejected with injuries, and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reported that one later died in hospital. Available reporting placed the wreckage near the Karnaphuli River after the crew had attempted to keep the burning aircraft away from densely populated areas.
