Austrian Air Force C-390 Ordered

Austria's order for four C-390 Millennium transports was formalised on 22 July 2024 as part of a joint contract with the Netherlands covering nine aircraft in total, Reuters reported. Austria asked to join the Dutch procurement in 2023 and signed a memorandum of understanding with The Hague in April 2024, adopting the Dutch aircraft configuration and contract conditions, at an estimated cost of 130 to 150 million euros per aircraft. The C-390s will replace the Austrian Air Force's C-130K Hercules transports. The first Austrian aircraft was initially expected between 2026 and 2027 and has since been rescheduled to 2028.
