Russian Air Force Su-25 Crash

A Sukhoi Su-25 of the Russian Air Force crashed in Primorsky Krai in the Russian Far East. The sole pilot ejected safely. The loss occurred thousands of kilometres from the war in Ukraine, in a region where Su-25 units conduct routine training. Russia has lost a substantial number of Frogfoots to both combat and accidents since 2022, and the type is no longer in production, limiting attrition replacement to stored airframes returned to service.
