Description
On May 7, 2025, the Indian Air Force (IAF) reportedly lost one Su-30 fighter jet during a military engagement following retaliatory strikes against Pakistan. The Su-30 is a Russian-designed, twin-engine multirole fighter capable of air-to-air combat and precision ground strikes. Measuring approximately 72 feet in length with a 48-foot wingspan, the aircraft is a cornerstone of India’s aerial combat fleet. Pakistan’s military claims the jet was downed using either air-to-air or surface-to-air missiles.
