Russian Air Force A-50 Damaged

During Operation Spiderweb on 1 June 2025, SBU first-person-view drones struck aircraft at Ivanovo Severny air base, home of Russia's A-50 airborne early warning and control fleet. Footage released by the SBU shows hits on two A-50s, and the SBU said the type was among more than 40 aircraft hit, according to the Kyiv Independent. The War Zone found no evidence that either aircraft was destroyed and noted that both had weathered radomes and at least one lacked engines, so it is unclear whether they were in active service. Oryx lists no A-50 loss from the operation.
