Mexican Air Force C295 Damaged

A CASA C-295M of the Mexican Air Force made a hard landing on a runway at Air Force Base No. 1, adjacent to Felipe Angeles International Airport, damaging the tail of the aircraft. None of the crew were injured. The C-295 is the mainstay of Mexican tactical airlift, used for troop transport, humanitarian relief and maritime patrol in the Persuader configuration. Santa Lucia serves as the principal Mexican Air Force base and shares its airfield with the civil airport opened in 2022.
