Royal Canadian Air Force Global 6500 Ordered

The Government of Canada ordered six Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft for the Royal Canadian Air Force on 12 December 2025, in a contract worth CAD 753 million covering production, aircrew and maintenance training and military modifications, CBC News reported. The jets will replace the four CC-144 Challengers used for utility flights, aeromedical evacuation, disaster relief and national security missions. It was one of the first purchases of the newly created Defence Investment Agency, and the first aircraft is expected by summer 2027.
