Description
A Chengdu F-7 fighter of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force was destroyed during a US Central Command strike on Shahid Sadooghi Airport in Yazd, central Iran. CENTCOM released imagery showing the aircraft destroyed alongside an AD-08 Majid air defense vehicle at the airfield. The strike was part of Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing US-Israeli military campaign against Iranian military targets. The F-7, a Chinese-built derivative of the MiG-21, is one of the oldest combat aircraft types remaining in Iran's fleet.
