Description
Two EC-130H Compass Call electronic warfare aircraft were reportedly damaged during the Iranian missile-and-drone strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia on March 27 — the same attack that destroyed an E-3G Sentry AWACS and a KC-135R Stratotanker. Both aircraft reportedly require significant repairs to return to service, with one assessed as severely damaged. The loss is strategically significant as the EC-130H fleet comprises only a handful of operational airframes tasked with offensive electronic attack — disrupting enemy communications, radar coordination, and command-and-control networks.
