Israel Air and Space Force Hermes 450 Shot down

Hezbollah fighters shot down an Israeli Elbit Hermes 450 Zik using a man-portable air defence system over southern Lebanon on 16 March 2026. It was the first of four Hermes 450s lost over Lebanon during the war. The Lebanese front ran in parallel with the Iran campaign, with Hezbollah engaging Israeli surveillance drones operating over the south throughout the spring.
