Description
Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran overnight on April 5-6 as part of a large-scale operation targeting three airports in the Tehran area. The 1st Tactical Air Base at Mehrabad hosts the 11th Tactical Airlift Squadron operating C-130E/H transports. Two Hercules aircraft were confirmed targeted and destroyed. The strikes also hit Bahram Airport and Azmayesh Airport and were aimed at degrading IRIAF and IRGC airlift capabilities during Operation Roaring Lion.
