Description
The German Air Force received its 53rd and final Airbus A400M Atlas transport aircraft on April 16, 2026, completing the country's procurement programme after an 11-year delivery cycle that began in 2014. The aircraft, tail number 54+63, was formally handed over by Airbus Defence and Space at its delivery centre in Seville, Spain, before being ferried to Wunstorf Air Base in Lower Saxony, home of Air Transport Wing 62 (Lufttransportgeschwader 62). Germany holds the largest single A400M order and now operates the world's largest fleet of the type.
