Royal Canadian Air Force PC-21 Delivered

The first two Pilatus PC-21s for Canada, designated CT-157 Siskin II, reached Canada on 17 September after ferry flights from the Pilatus plant at Stans, Switzerland, which they left on 14 September. They were put on public display at the AERO Gatineau-Ottawa show before continuing to 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where final acceptance and train-the-trainer work begin. Nineteen aircraft are on order for the Royal Canadian Air Force under the Future Aircrew Training programme run by SkyAlyne, and the type will also replace the CT-114 Tutor flown by the Snowbirds. The Siskin II handles advanced flying training for future fighter and multi-engine pilots.
