Two Su-34 fighter-bombers were destroyed on the ground at Marinovka Air Base, in Russia's Volgograd Oblast, in a Ukrainian missile strike on 29 October 2026. Ukraine's Navy said it hit the parking area of the 11th Mixed Aviation Regiment with Neptune cruise missiles, about 283 km from the border, and President Zelensky reported two Su-34s destroyed the same day. Satellite imagery taken on 30 October and published by Ukrainian open-source monitoring groups shows the wreckage of two aircraft in parking spaces near the hangars, according to Militarnyi and Defence Blog; the Institute for the Study of War relayed the Ukrainian claim. Russian authorities did not acknowledge any losses. It was the second Neptune strike on Su-34s in a fortnight, after Borisoglebsk on 15 October.
