Description
The AMR-2 is a 12.7mm anti-materiel sniper rifle developed in China and introduced in the early 2000s. It was designed and developed by Sichuan Huaqing Machinery Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of China South Industries Group.
This rifle features a conventional bolt-action design, chambered for the 12.7×108mm cartridge, and fed from a 5-round detachable box magazine located directly ahead of the trigger group. The rifle utilizes a free-floating barrel fitted with a large double baffle muzzle brake to reduce recoil. Standard features include a side-folding buttstock with an adjustable cheekpiece, a folding bipod, and a detachable rear monopod positioned under the buttstock. The AMR-2 is equipped with folding iron sights, and a Picatinny rail for mounting various optics.
