United Kingdom Navy HMS Talent Retired

The Royal Navy decommissioned the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered attack submarines HMS Talent and HMS Trenchant at Devonport Naval Base on 20 May 2022, according to the Royal Navy as reported by Naval Today and Baird Maritime. Talent completed its final patrol earlier that spring. Both boats served for 32 years as hunter-killer submarines, protecting the strategic deterrent and carrying Spearfish torpedoes and Tomahawk cruise missiles. The Royal Navy said the Astute class was taking over their role.
