United Kingdom Navy HMS Enterprise Retired

The Royal Navy decommissioned the Echo-class hydrographic and oceanographic survey ship HMS Enterprise (H88) at a ceremony at HM Naval Base Portsmouth on Thursday 30 March 2023, according to Forces News. Navy Lookout reported that Enterprise and her sister ship HMS Echo had been due to remain in service until around 2028, but maintenance costs and cheaper uncrewed survey methods ended that plan. Echo had been decommissioned in June 2022.
