Description
The corvette PNS Babur (F280) was formally inducted into the Pakistan Navy at a ceremony at PN Dockyard Karachi on 6 September 2024, attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Naval News reported. Lead ship of four Babur-class corvettes based on the Turkish MILGEM design, she had been built and commissioned at Istanbul Naval Shipyard on 23 September 2023 before sailing to Pakistan. Two ships of the class are built in Turkey and two at Karachi Shipyard.
