South Africa Navy SAS Adam Kok III Delivered

The South African Navy took delivery of SAS Adam Kok III (P1573), the third and final Warrior-class multi-mission inshore patrol vessel, with an official naming ceremony held on Friday 25 April 2025, Military Africa and Baird Maritime reported. The handover completed a 2018 contract with Damen Shipyards Cape Town for three vessels. The 62-metre, steel-hulled ships carry a 20 mm gun and are intended for anti-trafficking, fisheries protection, counter-piracy and mine countermeasures tasks along the South African coast. The ship is named after a 19th-century Griqua leader.
