Bangladesh Navy BNS Machranga Commissioned

BNS Machranga was commissioned at Khulna Naval Berth on 26 June 2025 together with sister vessels BNS Pankouri and BNS Gangchil, completing a three-boat programme of indigenous diving support vessels built at Khulna Shipyard Limited. The Chief of Naval Staff presided over the commissioning ceremony. The roughly 260-tonne Pankouri class is intended for diving, salvage and underwater maintenance duties, reinforcing the Bangladesh Navy's indigenous shipbuilding programme alongside earlier Khulna-built support craft such as the Shah Jalal-class tender.
