Kuwait Navy Al-Dorra-class Ordered

EDGE Group announced on 3 June 2025 the signing of an AED 9 billion (USD 2.45 billion) contract with the Kuwait Ministry of Defence for eight Al-Dorra-class (Falaj-3) 62-metre missile boats, the largest naval shipbuilding export deal in the region's history. EDGE is prime contractor, with Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) as build subcontractor; the scope covers design, construction, trials, delivery, ammunition and in-service support. The Falaj-3 design was already in service with the UAE Navy, whose first vessel, ALTAF, was commissioned in February 2025. Lead unit Al Noukhitha was launched at ADSB's Abu Dhabi yard in February 2026.
