Description
HMS Triumph (S93), the last Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered attack submarine, was decommissioned at Devonport Naval Base in July 2025, with submariners past and present holding a ceremonial parade at HMS Drake to mark the end of the class, the Royal Navy and Naval Technology reported on 21-22 July 2025. Laid down at Barrow in 1987 and commissioned in October 1991, Triumph was the seventh and final boat of her class; she fired Tomahawk missiles against targets in Afghanistan in 2001 and off Libya during the 2011 operations. She made her final entry into Devonport in December 2024 and now awaits disposal with her sisters, freeing capacity for the Astute-class boats.
