India Navy INS Himgiri Delivered

GRSE delivered the Project 17A stealth frigate Himgiri to the Indian Navy at Kolkata in August 2025, the third ship of the Nilgiri class and the first of the type completed by the Kolkata yard rather than Mazagon Dock. The 149-metre, 6,670-tonne design features a reduced radar cross-section, an integrated mast and greater automation than the preceding Shivalik class, and carries BrahMos anti-ship missiles, Barak-8 surface-to-air missiles and a 76 mm gun. She was commissioned alongside sister ship Udaygiri at Visakhapatnam later the same month.
