Damaged on 7 August 2025 after colliding with the Turkish-flagged civilian tanker Nazan in Temryuk Bay, Sea of Azov, at 03:59 local time while maneuvering to evade approaching Ukrainian drones. The corvette struck the tanker on its port side at 04:05, sustaining significant hull deformation. Despite visible damage confirmed by leaked photographs, Russian officials stated that combat readiness was not affected. Vyshny Volochyok is a Project 21631 Buyan-M small missile ship armed with Kalibr cruise missiles, assigned to the 41st Missile Boat Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet.
