Russia Navy Stavropol Commissioned

The Project 21631 (Buyan-M) corvette Stavropol entered service with the Baltic Fleet on 28 August 2025, when the naval ensign was raised at Baltiysk, Zona Militar reported. The twelfth and last ship of the series, she was laid down in July 2018 and launched in June 2024, her completion delayed by sanctions that forced the builder to replace the planned German diesel engines, first with Chinese and then with Russian units, according to the same report. Buyan-M corvettes carry a vertical launcher for Kalibr-NK cruise missiles or Oniks anti-ship missiles.
