Description
The Chonburi-class fast attack gunboat HTMS Phuket (FAC-333) was decommissioned with effect from 1 October 2025 after 42 years of service, one of four Royal Thai Navy ships retired by order of the Ministry of Defence, Thai PBS World and FM91 reported. The ministry said the ships had deteriorated with age and that repairs were no longer economical. Built in Italy in the early 1980s, the three Chonburi-class gunboats were armed with 76 mm and 40 mm guns; Chonburi and Songkla remain in service.
