Description
DSC A20 was commissioned into the Indian Navy at Kochi on 16 December 2025, the first of five indigenously built diving support craft ordered from Titagarh Rail Systems under a contract signed in February 2021. Designed to Indian Register of Shipping rules, the catamaran-hulled vessel displaces about 390 tonnes and carries modern diving systems for underwater repairs, hull inspections, harbour clearance and specialised diving tasks in coastal waters. The programme complements the larger diving support vessel INS Nistar, commissioned five months earlier at Visakhapatnam.
