Description
Struck by United States forces on 28 February 2026, the opening day of Operation Epic Fury, while moored near Chabahar, set ablaze and sunk. CENTCOM announced the strike on 1 March, releasing footage of the frigate settling at the pier and initially identifying her as a "Jamaran-class corvette"; commercial satellite imagery captured that day confirmed the loss. Lead ship of Iran's domestically designed Moudge class, Jamaran was commissioned in 2010 and armed with Noor anti-ship cruise missiles and Sayyad-2 surface-to-air missiles.
