Description
The fast attack interdiction craft BRP Audrey Bañares (PG-910) was commissioned on 24 February 2026 at Naval Operating Base Subic in Zambales, in the same ceremony that saw the offshore patrol vessel BRP Rajah Sulayman (PS-20) enter service. She is the ninth Acero-class missile-capable boat, an Israeli Shaldag Mk V design built by Israel Shipyards, armed with Spike NLOS missiles and a 30 mm remote weapon station. The ship honours a navy commando killed in Zamboanga City in 2013 during operations against extremists, and forms part of the Philippine Navy's Horizon 2 modernisation programme.
