Bangladesh Navy Ex-HMS Enterprise Ordered

The United Kingdom and Bangladesh signed a government-to-government sale agreement in Dhaka on 8 February 2026 transferring the former Royal Navy survey ship HMS Enterprise to the Bangladesh Navy, Navy Lookout and Naval Technology reported. The second of two Echo-class multi-role hydrographic and oceanographic survey ships, she was commissioned in October 2003 and laid up after her decommissioning in March 2023. The ship will support charting, scientific research and maritime security in the Bay of Bengal; the price was not disclosed.
