Finland Navy Tursas Delivered

The offshore patrol vessel Tursas was handed over by the Finnish Border Guard to the Navy on 2 March 2026 and relocated to the Coastal Fleet's Pansio base in Turku. A Turva-class vessel (sister ship to the lead unit Turva) fitted with towing and icebreaking capability, Tursas will serve the Coastal Fleet as a replenishment and support ship and for measurement and test activities, while remaining available for statutory support tasks to other Finnish authorities. The vessel keeps its name following the transfer.
