United Kingdom Navy RFA Argus Retired

RFA Argus (A135) was towed out of Portsmouth for the last time on 3 March 2026, bound for Falmouth to be de-stored before disposal, Navy Lookout reported, ending more than four decades with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. The Royal Navy had confirmed her disposal in February 2026 after inspections in 2025 found her unsafe to sail, according to the UK Defence Journal. A merchant container ship taken up for the 1982 Falklands War, Argus was converted into an aviation training ship and later served as the fleet's primary casualty receiving ship.
