Pakistan Navy PNS Khaibar Commissioned

Second Babur-class (PN MILGEM) corvette inducted into the Pakistan Navy at a ceremony in Karachi on 4 April 2026. Built at the Istanbul Naval Shipyard in Turkey, PNS Khaibar was commissioned there in December 2025 before sailing to Pakistan for final integration. The 2,400-ton, 99-metre corvette can reach 29 knots and features stealth design with reduced radar signature. Armed with anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, and a 76mm gun, the Babur class forms the backbone of Pakistan's naval modernisation under the four-ship PN MILGEM programme, with two vessels built in Turkey and two at Karachi Shipyard.
