Cambodia Type 056C Fleet Update

Cambodia received its first Chinese-built Type 056C missile corvette at Ream Naval Base on 4 April 2026, with the vessel formally transferred to the Royal Cambodian Navy on 8 April 2026 as hull number 622. The corvette completes the first phase of a two-ship grant announced by Beijing in 2024, with the second unit scheduled for delivery in June 2026. Estimated at around 95 m in length and displacing 1,300 to 1,500 tons, hull 622 introduces the first class of modern missile-equipped warships into the Cambodian Navy, though anti-ship missile launchers were not visible at the time of delivery.
