Russia Navy Burya Commissioned

Commissioned into the Baltic Fleet at Baltiysk on 8 May 2026, raising the naval ensign after completing factory and state trials in the Baltic Sea. Burya is the eighth Project 22800 Karakurt-class small missile corvette to enter service and the fourth delivered by the Pella shipyard at Otradnoye, Leningrad Oblast. The 800-tonne stealth corvette carries an eight-cell universal vertical launcher for Kalibr cruise missiles or P-800 Oniks anti-ship missiles, a 76.2 mm AK-176MA gun and the Pantsir-M gun-missile air defence system.
