India Navy INS Dunagiri Commissioned

Commissioned at Kolkata on 21 June 2026 in a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside the survey vessel INS Sanshodhak and the ASW craft INS Agray. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Dunagiri had been delivered to the Navy on 30 March 2026. She is the fifth Nilgiri-class (Project 17A) stealth frigate and the second of the class built by GRSE. The roughly 6,670-tonne multi-role frigate carries BrahMos and Barak-8 missiles, integrated sensors, and network-centric warfare systems for surface, air, and anti-submarine operations.
