Description
INS Sanshodhak (J24), the fourth and final ship of the Indian Navy's Survey Vessel (Large) project, was commissioned on 21 June 2026 in a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside the frigate Dunagiri and the anti-submarine craft Agray, Naval News reported. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers in Kolkata and delivered at the end of March 2026, the 110-metre, 3,400-tonne vessel carries hydrographic and oceanographic systems, four survey motor boats, a data acquisition and processing system, a remotely operated vehicle and a Kongsberg HUGIN autonomous underwater vehicle, according to the same report.
