Description
The Spanish Navy's Logistics Support Command bought the offshore supply vessel Ocean Marlin for €28.9 million including taxes, through the Spanish broker Navaleva. The award notice was published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform on 20 October 2026, according to defensa.com and Infodefensa. Delivery is due before April 2027. Built in 2014 by Zamakona Yards and operated by Norway's Atlantic Offshore in support of North Sea oil platforms, the ship is a sister of Carnota (A-61). It will become the third Carnota-class multipurpose vessel with towing capability, after Carnota and Cartagena (A-62), and continues the replacement of retired ocean tugs such as Mahón and Las Palmas.
