Belgium Navy BNS Bellis Retired

Transferred by Belgian Defence to the Bulgarian Navy on 30 October 2026, Bellis is the first of four Belgian Tripartite-class minehunters slated for Bulgaria under a trilateral memorandum of understanding with the Netherlands that covers seven ships in all. The handover, reported by Naval News, follows the gradual phase-out of the Belgian and Dutch Tripartite fleets as both navies move to a new generation of mine countermeasure vessels built around unmanned systems and advanced sensors. The Tripartite class was designed jointly by Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
