Bulgaria Navy ex-Bellis Delivered

Handed over by Belgian Defence on 30 October 2026, the former Bellis is the first of seven Tripartite-class minehunters Bulgaria is receiving from Belgium (four) and the Netherlands (three) under a trilateral memorandum of understanding. According to Naval News, Bulgaria will finance the maintenance, recommissioning and operational deployment of the ships, supported by Belgian industry. The minehunters are to strengthen mine countermeasure capacity in the Black Sea and support the training of Ukrainian crews who operate the same class. They join three Tripartite units already in Bulgarian service.
