India Navy INS Amini Delivered

Handed over to the Indian Navy at Kattupalli, Tamil Nadu, on 5 November 2026, the Ministry of Defence announced the following day. Amini is the fifth of eight anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft designed and built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, and was launched at the Kattupalli shipyard in November 2023. Propelled by waterjets, the class carries lightweight torpedoes, indigenous anti-submarine rocket launchers and sonars, and can also lay mines. The ministry puts the indigenous content above 80 percent.
