French Air and Space Force Rafale Damaged

Two French Rafale C fighters of the Vautour Bravo tactical display team made contact in mid-air at about 12:40 local time on 22 May 2022 during the airshow at Cognac-Chateaubernard air base. The Aviationist reported that both aircraft sustained structural damage but landed safely, and that the vertical fin of one was recovered about 8 km from the airbase. No injuries were reported. The cause was under investigation. One jet was the special-colour aircraft that had won a trophy at NATO Tiger Meet 2022.
