Mexican Navy UH-60 Black Hawk Crash

A Mexican Navy Black Hawk crashed near Los Mochis in Sinaloa state on 15 July 2022, killing 14 people, according to a Navy statement reported by Gulf News. The helicopter had provided security for marines involved in the arrest of a wanted drug trafficker that day, though the Navy said it had no information linking the crash to the arrest. In September 2022 Mexico's Attorney General's Office said the investigation had ruled out an attack and that, based on the manufacturer's analysis of the flight recorder, the helicopter ran out of fuel.
